MV Hospital
Annual Health Fair
Each March, Martha's Vineyard Hospital invites health and human service providers to gather at the hospital to present a day of health screenings, demonstrations and lectures all geared to helping the island community learn more about improving their overall health and quality of life.
Our goal is increase awareness about health issues, promote healthy lifestyles and highlight the broad array of health services and comprehensive medical programs available throughout the Island and beyond.
A Recap of This Year's Fair
Martha's Vineyard Hospital hosted its annual Health Fair on March 15, 2009. This year over 35 health care professionals participated in a wide variety of interactive activities including Pilates demonstrations, massage and acupuncture treatments, gait and ultrasonic foot analysis, functional movement screenings, flu vaccinations and health screenings. A series of seminars on healthy lifestyles geared for the entire family was offered, as well as information about health insurance options and bone marrow donor registration.
In 2009, over 250 members of the Vineyard community attended the fair, and over 40 providers participated. For a full list of the 2009 Health Fair's activities and participants, please see below.
Please join us in 2010 on Saturday, March 13th for another day of good health and good fun.
