Did you know you can discard outdated prescription drugs safely and securely?
This program is designed to significantly reduce prescription drugs in communities across the country that are either no longer needed or outdated. Often the target of theft and misuse by people who have access to your home, and 12 to 17 year olds have made prescription drugs the number one drug of choice for their age group. It is unwittingly coming from the medicine cabinets of their parents, grandparents, and friends.
In addition, disposing of unused, unwanted and expired medications are bad for our environment - the ground, water and the air around us.
Please be responsible about your medication disposal.
Our safe and secure drop-off box is located in the Annex
lobby adjacent to our Physician Practices.
Return your outdated, unused controlled
medications to us free of charge, and we will see to it that they are destroyed
in a safe and proper manner. In addition to our drop-off box, police stations
in West Tisbury, Oak Bluffs and Edgartown also have drop-off box locations.
If you wish to drop off at a different time, you may contact the Communication Center at 508-693-1212 and a police officer will meet you at their station.
