Martha’s Vineyard Hospital was recently named one of iVantage Health Analytics’ Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) in the United States for the third year in a row. In addition, the Hospital was also named as a Top 100 Rural & Community Hospital in the U.S.

Martha’s Vineyard Hospital scored in the top 100 of Critical Access Hospitals and in the top 100 of rural and community hospitals on iVantage’s Hospital Strength INDEX®. The INDEX is the industry’s most comprehensive rating of rural and Critical Access Hospitals. The results recognize that the Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals provide a safety net to communities across rural America measuring them across more than 70 different performance metrics, including quality, outcomes, patient perspective, affordability, population risk and efficiency.

Incorporated in 1921, Martha’s Vineyard Hospital , opened on June 9, 1922. It was first designated as a Critical Access Hospital in 2001. In 2007, Martha’s Vineyard Hospital became a member of Partners HealthCare and an affiliate of Massachusetts General Hospital.
